ARCHITECTURE SUMMER STUDIO 2021
In August 2021 NPATAK Platform organised it’s first architecture summer studio for Armenian students and young architects. For twelve days four groups of four particioants in each, with the support of studio leaders, developed four conceptual proposals. During the summer studio multiple lectures and study trips were organised.
Program - Concept
2021 Architecture Summer Studio Armenia – was the first major event organised by NPATAK. The primary idea of the Summer Studio was to invite architects from around the world with international education and experience who volunteered their time as studio leaders and mentors.
During the 12 day workshop participants have had a real life experience of cooperation with clients and colleagues around a specific project. Four of the most important organizations for Armenia’s current development - TUMO, COAF, IDeA Foundation and AGBU, provided topics of their existing programs that required an architectural viewpoint to be developed by participants.
Programs ranging from a single building to a public space design have been researched and developed further into four conceptual proposals by four groups. 3 study trips with architecture tours, 10 international lectures and multiple client meetings and discussions were held during the studio..
